The Regional Center aims to Supporting and disseminating knowledge of space science and technology in member countries through:

  • Teaching space science and technology, studying scientific issues, and exchanging information and experiences in various scientific fields.
  • Implementing academic programs at the graduate level, and holding training courses.
  • Work to standardize scientific terminology in the field of space science and technology in member states and encourage research, publication, authorship and translation of the scientific material.
  • Providing advice to institutions, bodies and individuals in the areas of space science and technology education.
  • Interest in enriching the main library in the country of headquarters in books, studies, research and periodicals in the fields of space science and technology so that they are a reference for all member states and researchers.
  • Establishing close cooperation relations with other centers, bodies, and similar organizations to achieve the goals for which the Center works for and in all fields of common interest.
  • Developing the skills and knowledge of university professors and scholars.
  • Encouraging scientific research at the local and regional levels and supporting scientific projects that contribute to achieving the goals of the center.
  • Holding specialized scientific programs, seminars and conferences, and holding related activities and activities.
  • Exchanging experiences and visits between faculty members, researchers and students, and establishing a network to exchange information in the center’s field of work.
  • Linking applied research with sustainable comprehensive development plans and programs.
  • Coordination of the efforts of the members of the Center in international bodies, organizations and conferences.
  • Supporting other related activities that would enhance the scientific development of member states.
  • Cooperation in the field of space legislation, laws and agreements.
  • Sponsoring talented and creative people in the fields of space science and technology.
  • The center has no political, sectarian, or tribal goals. 

Means of achieving these goals

The center practices the implementation of its programs and activities through a methodology that works to achieve its goals through the following means:

  • Implementing programs and plans drawn up by the center that focus on education and scientific research as an essential means to achieve the goals.
  • Implementing programs related to holding qualifying and training courses in space science and technology, holding conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions, and participating in scientific, regional and international conferences and seminars with similar goals.
  • Preparing work plans and programs to encourage scientific research and publishing, methods of teaching space science and technology, and issuing flyers and their technologies in addition to a periodical magazine concerned with teaching space science and technology and all that is new in these areas.
  • Establishing a database on the institutions and centers concerned, and on experts, scientists and those interested in teaching space science and technology.
  • Opening channels of communication with scientific institutions and societies specialized in space science and technology and cooperating with them in everything that would serve the goals of the center.
  • Work on realizing the idea of ​​establishing joint research centers in the fields of space science and technology.
  • Work to include space science and technology in school curricula.
