Through its various activities and activities during the years 2020-2022 and the coming years, the Regional Center looks forward to achieving its goals for which it was established by working on the following:

  • Establishing a database on the institutions and centers concerned, and on experts, scientists and those interested in teaching space science and technology.
  • Building an astronomical observatory with a diameter of 50 cm.
  • Construction of a radio observatory, 30 cm in diameter.
  • Building an 80-cm astronomical observatory in Al-Asfar region in coordination with the State of Kazakhstan.
  • Announcement of the Meteor Crater “Meteorite Zone” in Jordan, astronomical reserve.
  • The MERIAM conference “The Astronomy and Space Conference for Africa and the Middle East” was held on September 15-17, 2020.
  • Continue to hold specialized scientific workshops for the participating countries and for various local institutions.
  • Effective participation in the meetings of the Arab Space Group that was established in 2018 by the “Emirates Space Agency” to be the nucleus for the establishment of an Arab space agency.
  • Holding the second summer school under the title “Astrophysics and Radio Astronomy” during the month of August 2020.
  • Holding training courses for the countries of the region.

RCSSTEWA also looks forward to achieving the following:

  • Join the Arab Space Group and work as a team in the 813 satellite construction project under the supervision of the Emirates Space Agency.
  • The center is accredited to be a regional training center accredited by the Arab Space Group.
  • Work to encourage and stimulate investment in the space science and technology industry.
  • Create an incubator for satellite design.
  • Building ground receiving stations in cooperation with the Pakistani Space Agency.
  • Qualification of technical cadres and scholarships for postgraduate students in the fields of specialization.
  • Developing space communication skills to transfer technologies related to rural development, distance education, health services, disaster reduction, air and maritime navigation, and linking the network of scientists and experts in the region and governmental and industrial institutions in order to facilitate and exchange ideas, information and experiences.
