The General Director of the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia and the Director General of the Royal Jordanian Geographical Center, Colonel Engineer Muammar Haddadin, sponsored the opening of the Basics of Space Science and Technology course, which was held by the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia for a group of professors and engineers from Al-Balqa University, Al-Hosn and Engineering Technology Faculties, and Amman University Al-Arabiya, in the presence of the Royal Jordanian Geographical Center, today, Sunday, the second of October 2022.
Colonel Engineer Muammar Haddadin explained that the main objective of the course is to build partnerships with national and Arab educational institutions to cooperate in space science and technology, and to introduce the disciplines taught by the regional center. Through satellites and the use of satellites in the study of weather and climate, encouraging scientific research in these areas, and cooperating with universities in master’s programs in which the role of the regional center is to grant students basic skills in space science and technology, and the university completes the academic path, a research that will produce researchers armed with academic knowledge and the necessary skills To work in aerospace related fields.
It is noteworthy that the course topics include: the basics of space science and technology and the definition of the space science hubs studied by the Regional Center from the tracks identified by the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, which include remote sensing and geographic information systems, space meteorology, space communications, and satellite navigation systems, and space law.
