The Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology for West Asia offers an intensive training course for students of Princess Sumaya University for Technology under the title Basics of Space Science and Technology for 40 training hours, and it includes multiple and basic topics in the study of space science and technology; A general introduction to space sciences and their applications, celestial coordinate systems, satellite motion and orbits, the importance of electromagnetic radiation in space communications and remote sensing, as well as various topics in atmospheric sciences and space weather.
This course is one of five training courses offered by the Regional Center for Teaching Space Science and Technology in various fields, the most important of which are: global navigation systems via satellite, communications via satellite, meteorology and global climate via satellite, and space and atmospheric sciences.
More than 50 students from several faculties participated in this course.
